Lynda Gratton

Professor of Management Practice and Founder of Hot Spots Movement

Lynda is a Professor of Management Practice at London Business School where she directs ‘Human Resource Strategy in Transforming Companies’ – considered the world’s leading programme on human resources.

Lynda is the founder of Hot Spots Movement and since 2008 she has led the Future of Work Research Consortium which has brought together executives from more than 100 companies.

Over the last 20 years Lynda has written extensively about the interface between people and organisations. Her eight books cover the link between business and HR strategy (Living Strategy), the new ways of
working (The Democratic Enterprise), the rise of complex collaboration (Hot Spots and Glow) and the impact of a changing world on employment and work (The Shift).

In 2012 The Shift received the business book of the year award in Japan and has been translated into more than 15 languages. In 2015 The Key won the CMI Management Book of the Year. This book looks at the impact of the changing world on corporate practices and processes and on leadership. In 2016, Lynda Gratton and co-author Professor Andrew Scott, published The 100-Year Life: Living and Working in an Age of Longevity, which, translated into many languages, continues to generate significant interest across the world, also in Japan, where it quickly became a bestseller. It was shortlisted for the FT Business Book of the Year award.

Lynda’s work has been acknowledged globally – she has won the Tata prize in India; in the US she has been named as the annual Fellow of NAHR and won the CCL prize; whilst in Australia she has won the HR prize. Lynda is a Fellow of the World Economic Forum and has chaired the WEF Council of Leadership. She has served as a judge on the FT Business Book of the Year panel, chairs the Drucker Prize panel and is on the governing body of London Business School. In 2017, Lynda became an Advisor for @GoogleOrg’s initiative to help people prepare for the changing nature of work and was also, as the only foreigner, invited by Prime Minister Abe of Japan to join a new advisory council “Council for designing the 100-year-life society”.

Dario Zanchetta has been with the Bank of Ireland for 3 years and heads up the Robotic Process Automation Technology & Innovation team at the bank. Dario holds responsibility for development, innovation, technology, architecture and infrastructure, and leading a rapidly growing team in an exciting and challenging environment. His current focus is on how the team can innovate using enterprise RPA coupled with emerging technologies or custom built components and services to enable the next-level of robotic process automation across key areas within the bank.

Jonathan Kidd

Jonathan Kidd has been with the Bank of Ireland for more than 10 years and in his current role he is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the intelligent digital capabilities which underpin the Bank of Ireland’s banking operations. William Hewish

CIO at United Utilities

William has been the CIO at United Utilites for more than 5 years, during which time he has transformed the systems used to increase productivity through new workforce apps, new scheduling systems and data analytics platforms, as well as delivering new digital solutions for 7 million customers including a new mobile enabled website, a new customer app, new speech recognition and automated payment solutions.

Before taking over at United Utilities, William was the CIO at Severn Trent Water, London Scottish bank and De Vere and he holds an MBA from the University of Leicester.

Duncan Barnes

Partner at Deloitte

Duncan leads Customer Experience and Next-Generation Sales & Service teams across industry sectors at Deloitte, with the main aim to help clients operate effectively in the digital world. Duncan is focussed on delivering business transformation enabled by leading-edge CRM and digital technologies. Duncan has been with Deloitte for 20 years and holds a MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol.

Pascal Baker

Co-founder and Chief Client Officer at Symphony

Pascal founded Symphony nearly four years ago, and is focused on creating growth in new markets, geographies and service lines through strategic contracts, partnerships and acquisitions. Chris is a Partner at EY, Leading the Financial Services RPA/software robotics center-of-excellence and practice building across EMEIA. Chris helps clients transform including dramatically increasing revenues/profits, reduce costs and create and agile organization through the application of RPA across digital and traditional channels, and throughout the whole organization. He worked for both Deloitte and PwC prior to his nearly 5 years at EY.

Jason Cripps

Global Head operational Excellence and Automation (RPA), Zurich Insurance

Jason is the Global Head Operational Excellence and Automation (RPA) at Zurich Insurance Company and has been with Zurich Insurance for over 18 years, always in an operational capacity. Jason has worked internationally for the business and is responsible for developing and executing the transformational global automation strategy within the business. Jason is a Prince 2 Practitioner and holds both a BA Hons and an MBA in Business and Finance from Bristol University and Aston University respectively.

Agnieszka Belowska

Group Head of Robotics, Nordea

Agnieszka is the Group Head of Robotics at Nordea, the largest financial services group in the Nordic region and one of the biggest banks in Europe. She’s been with the business for over eight years managing transition and service delivery, and more recently in her role as the Group Head of Robotics, Implementing new IT solutions with Robotics at the core of the process. Agnieszka has a BA in English and German and a Masters in International Economic Relations both from the University of Lodz.

Prittam Bagani

Director of Product Strategy, Appian

Prittam Bagani is the Director of Product Strategy for Appian Corporation and is responsible for Appian’s strategy and go-to-market for Analytics and Robotics Process Automation (RPA) capabilities. Prittam has been directly involved in the development and delivery of enterprise software solutions for over 10 years. Kieran Gilmurray

Kieran joined Pearson recently as the Director of Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain and Process Excellence to establish an Intelligent Automation Center of Expertise with process analytics, robotic process automation and Blockchain. Kieran’s mission is to build world class teams and businesses focused on delivering value for their customers. Prior to joining Pearson, Kieran worked at Liberty Insurance, Hughes Insurance and has been a mentor to start up businesses. Kieran holds an MSC in Computer Science and an MBA in Business Administration, both from Queens University Belfast.

Mikkel Kristiansen

Head of Robotics Services, Nordea

Mikkel is the Head of Robotic Services for Nordea where he is developing a Robotics Services delivery organization as part of Nordea’s Robotics Center of Excellence. His focus is on acceleration and scale of the RPA offering to service the total Nordea Group in a swift and agile way while tapping into new technologies such as Machine Learning. With a strong background in IT project management and strategy, Mikkel has been a leader and evangelist for Digital Transformation for nearly 20 years. Mikkel has a Master’s degree in Project Management and Process Improvement where he wrote a thesis on applying Design Thinking in large organizations.

Jan Thummel

Head of Strategy and Methodology, Nordea

Jan oversees Strategy and Methodology within Nordea’s Robotics Center of Excellence where he has supported the implementation of over 300 Robots that have handled a quarter million cases across hundreds of robotized processes. Before joining the innovative world of RPA as a Senior Business Analyst, Jan was part of Nordea’s Trade Banking and Trade Finance departments. Jan has a Master’s of International Strategic Management and Finance from Stockholm University.

Mike Hobday

General Manager, IBM Automation Europe

Mike has worked for IBM for over 13 years in various roles around the world. These have included roles in visionary transformation, automation and process transformation to name a few. Prior to his time with IBM, Mike has worked for ATOS, Barclays, PWC and Prudential. Leslie heads the LSE’s Outsourcing Unit, and, for the last 28 years, has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology. Leslie is co-author of 55 books including Robotic Process Automation and Risk Mitigation, Service Automation: Robots and The Future of Work, Nine Keys To World Class BPO, Moving to The Cloud Corporation, and has published over 230 refereed papers in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review and California Management Review.
